Simon Says Stamp "Celebrate You" BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies release Blog Hop! You can check Day one here. Also, make sure you read until the end if you want to know how to participate in a giveaway!

DAD AND MOM THANK YOU CARDS

I often get asked to make cards with more "masculine colors", so I decided to use the stamp set " " to create a thank you card for dads (and then another one for moms).

To create the pattern on the background I decided to use Distress Oxide Inks. I didn't get a perfect image each time, but that's exactly what I was looking for, I like the "distressed" look I got :).

For the mom version of the card I used softer colors and I have a feeling that it looks a bit "vintage". I wasn't looking for that, but I also like it.

You can see how I made this cards in the video below (or watch at my Youtube channel).

LOVE your circle / dotty backgrounds and sentiments ... they're ALL great stamps! LOVE your design and video too ... although it is so frustrating when things go wrong, I confess it was nice to see others have "oops" moments ... I've had this happen to me too, even with my panel wedged firmly in the corner, so maybe it wasn't as firm as I thought ... sigh ...
