You Are My Joy
For my card today I used the "Retro Layering Christmas Berries" stencil and "You are my Joy" die. I applied color with Distress Oxide Inks to a piece of white cardstock and then used the stencil on top of it applying a bit more pressure. For the second part of the stencil, the one with the details, I used embossing paste, although it didn't turn out exactly the way I intended. I expected it to stay white, but since Distress colors are water-based, they blended with the paste. Still liked the result though :).
Para mi tarjeta de hoy he usado el esténcil "Retro Layering Christmas Berries" y el troquel "You are my Joy".

ReplyDeleteI think the way the paste picked up the colors look fantastic! White would have still looked good too, and tied in with the die cut, but may have been too bold and taken away from the message. Sometimes we get lucky when things turn out slightly differently than we expected! Great job!
